Corruption and Graft

It seems to flow through Hamilton’s Liberals in a direct line to McGuinty’s provincial Liberals.
LIUNA, who has contributed campaign funds to half of or more to city councilors, Liberal carrying members.
Provincial Liberal MPP. McMeekin dating Di Ianni with the flavored intent of derailing Councilor McCarthy
for an incumbent that aligns with the Liberal agenda, a Mayor that has been charged with accepting illegal
campaign contributions. Combined with McGuinty's offering to allow Mayors of amalgamated Cities like Hamilton
to appoint political supporters as additional voices that speak on behalf of Liberal agendas. Nevertheless, a total
summation is not complete, until one adds the possible illegal actions of LIUNA, threatening a councilor.
The municipal act that states,
“everyone who by threats, influences or attempts to influence a municipal official to number one, abstain from
voting at a meeting of a municipal council or committee thereof, or secondly to aid in procuring or preventing
the adoption of a measure, motion or a resolution, is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment
for a term not exceeding five years."

The Municipal Act is defined and regulated by the Province. The fact that such threat occurred is well known by
McGuinty's office. It behoves this writer, as to why McGuinty's’s office has not directed the OPP. to investigate
such behavior. Though equally disturbing, is how Di Ianni has not risen in condemnation of such actions,
including all city councilors.

Additionally, McGuinty embeds in the Municipal Act a four year term, verses a three year municipal term. Endearing
and strengthening Liberal continuity and potential graft. Ultimately it not about the best governance of this province,
but securing the Liberal’s party rule. Decades of federal Liberal party’s deceit and graft, seem to have become the
inspired tools of Municipal and Provincial Liberals. Entrenched, in all this darkness, Di Ianni can stand for re-election with
the possibility of being convicted under the Municipal act, or one should ask, has a deal been already been washed
under the table.

When political party interest become the primary focus of governance, graft and corruption thrives, it inundates our
legal, constitutional, educational, medical, and social, financial autonomy, usurping democracy fundamental rights
of freedom, liberty and the pursuance of happiness. Oh, I almost forgot, did someone mention “transparency.”

What do you think...?
